Nursing Home for Enjoying Hot Springs and Life

Obama-cho, Unzen City, Nagasaki Prefecture, has been a popular hot spring resort destination for tourists for many years. This project involves the reconstruction of a nursing home located on a hill overlooking Tachibana Bay, which has become outdated.

Our goal is to provide a private space where elderly residents who have lived in this region can enjoy the hot springs at a leisurely pace and appreciate the breathtaking views. To achieve this, all rooms are designed as individual units with large windows that offer a view of the sea. Additionally, we have created a foot bath lounge where visiting families and children can relax and enjoy themselves, resembling the ambiance of a resort hotel and providing a comfortable environment for conversations.

This nursing home offers elderly individuals the opportunity to enjoy magnificent scenery and hot springs while leading a secure and comfortable lifestyle. With great respect for the local traditions and landscape, we aim to create a pleasant environment that supports the well-being of the elderly.
