A Resort Town on the Hill

In many cases special elderly nursing homes are designed to be an adequate final home for the users. With this project, however, we intended the building to act as a resort town that allows users to stay long periods of time. The site is on the top of a hill, to the east of which overlooks calm ocean and on the west side of which grows local vegetables and greens. Also from this hill you can see Mt. Fuji on a sunny day. In respect to this beautiful site, we have designed the building to be a town, that consists of lodging areas that have different views and streets which connect those parts. In the 'streets' are public spaces like library, hot-spring, hair salon and meeting rooms, where users can enjoy walking around.
